Winter means snow play and we’re on the way to Lake Mountain. Stay at Rex’s and a day trip to Marysville and Lake Mountain is an easy drive through the Black Spur.

When it’s chilly you want to sit by a fire and at Rex’s we not only have the fire in the lounge – we also have a fire pit in the garden to cosy up to once the sun’s gone down – toast some marshmallows with the kids, they’ll love it!

Wet dreary weather ‘at home’ is the end of the world for kids during the holidays, but when you’re away from home, it seems to matter far less – somewhere new where their brains are stimulated. We have games galore at Rex’s to keep kids amused even if it’s wet/cold.

Get out and about and enjoy a walk with the family – it’s one of those things you always mean to do when you’re at home, but rarely get around to doing. You’re on holiday, surrounded by amazing parks and trails – Maroondah Dam (pictured above) is just a 5 minute drive from Rex’s and could keep you entertained all day.
